Michel Poiccard is a petty Parisian criminal who aspires to be Humphrey Bogart. After he steals a car and shoots a police officer his life starts to resemble the plots of American gangster films as he dodges cops and plans his escape from the law.

Jobless, soul-searching and rollerblading Jeanne lives in a Paris suburb with her widowed mother Louise, who makes a living as a baby-sitter. Louise helps her daughter get a job with her old flame Samuel Bleistein, now a famous lawyer and Jewish activist.

Midwest Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker, the full-length ballet, based on the original Tchaikovsky libretto danced by their talented young performers with guest artists from American Ballet Theatre.
