The After Hours Film Society is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit cultural organization formed to encourage the appreciation of cinema, both as an art and as a medium of information and education. The Critics Classics at the Elk Grove Theatre is in conjunction with the Chicago Film Critics Association. Each film is selected by the member of the CFCA who will host an introduction and a short Q&A after the show. The films will run the 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 7:00 PM.
Art @ York - York Theatre
The York Theatre will be showing art, foreign, classic or documentary films the second Wednesday of every month at 1:00 & 7:00 PM. General Admission. Come early for pre-show entertainment at 12:30 PM on our baby Barton Theatre organ with Dave Rhodes, Tivoli Theatre house organist. Our advisory committee: Susan Erdakos, Carol Reisenbuckler and Karen Exiner who help with the selection of films.
First Tuesday Film Club - Lake Theatre
First Tuesday Film Club presents art and foreign films as well as documentaries once a month at10AM, noon and 7:00 PM. Flyers are available at the Lake and a description of each film is included on the special events page on the website.
Our advisory committee: Bobbie Raymond, Susie Helfrich, Mary Kay O’Grady, Stasia Thompson and Shirley Johnson (Classic Cinemas) who help with the selection of films.
